This policy explains how AUTX Store and the AUTX AI Tutor software ecosystem collect, use, store, and protect information. Please read it together with our cookie notice below.

1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy & Data Protection Policy applies to AUTX Store e-commerce services at autxstore.com (including product browsing, checkout, account, and support) and to the standalone AUTX AI Tutor software ecosystem (desktop application, license activation, and related parent-controlled education features).

AUTX STORE PRIVATE LIMITED is the controller of store and licensing data described here. Student learning records created inside the AUTX AI Tutor desktop application remain under local, parent-controlled storage as set out in Section 4.

2. Collection of Information

We collect only the information required to operate the store, authenticate accounts, and validate legitimate software licenses:

  • Account & billing information — Name, email, billing address, order history, and payment references needed to complete AUTX Store purchases. Card details are processed by authorized payment gateways and are not stored in full on AUTX servers.
  • Parent contact email and encrypted Master PIN — Used for AUTX AI Tutor household administration. The Master PIN is stored in encrypted form so parents can manage student profiles, syllabus uploads, and administrative settings.
  • Hardware ID (HWID) and license keys — Collected solely to activate, validate, and protect legitimate AUTX AI Tutor licenses against unauthorized copying or device transfer abuse.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data is processed for the following legitimate purposes only:

  • Processing and fulfilling store orders, invoices, and delivery communications.
  • Managing account authentication, password resets, and customer session security.
  • Verifying legitimate software licenses through HWID and license-key checks.
  • Providing customer support, warranty, and product-update notices you request or that are required for service operation.

4. AUTX AI Tutor Desktop Application (Special Education & Student Privacy Terms)

Local-First Architecture

All student profiles, study logs, chat queries, and uploaded curriculum textbook PDFs remain stored strictly on the user’s local machine inside the local AUTX_Tutor directory. These education records are not uploaded to AUTX Store servers as a default product behavior.

Camera & Microphone Permissions

Real-time audio and video access are used solely for interactive voice tutoring and visual homework problem-solving. Media feeds are processed in transient memory and are NEVER permanently recorded, stored, or monetized.

Encrypted AI Processing

Academic queries are transmitted via secure HTTPS protocols directly to authorized AI endpoints solely to generate educational responses. Transmission is limited to the query content required to produce an answer and is not used to build advertising profiles.

Children’s Privacy & Parental Control

AUTX AI Tutor is designed for full COPPA/FERPA-aligned parental control. All administrative settings and syllabus uploads require a parent Master PIN. Parents retain 100% authority to inspect, export, or permanently erase local student records stored in the AUTX_Tutor directory.

5. Cookie Policy

AUTX Store uses cookies and similar technologies in two categories:

  • Essential operational cookies — Required for session authentication, cart state, currency/language preference, and security. These cookies are necessary for the store to function and cannot be switched off while you use checkout or an authenticated account.
  • Optional analytics cookies — Used only when you accept them, to understand aggregated store performance. They are not used to sell student or customer profiles.

You retain the right to manage cookie preferences at any time. Use the cookie banner on first visit, or clear site data in your browser to be asked again. Continuing to use the store after accepting essential cookies confirms that operational cookies may be set.

6. Third-Party Disclosures & Security

Zero-sale policy: student and customer data is NEVER sold, rented, or leased. Disclosures are strictly limited to authorized payment gateways that process transactions and to legal compliance mandates (for example, a lawful government request).

We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls on licensing systems, and encrypted storage of the parent Master PIN. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work continuously to reduce residual risk.

7. Data Retention & User Rights

Store account, order, and support records are retained only as long as needed for the subscription or warranty period, accounting, and legal obligations, after which they are deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

You have clear rights to access, rectify, or request permanent deletion of account and support data we hold. Local AUTX AI Tutor student records can be inspected, exported, or erased by a parent using the Master PIN on the device. To exercise store-side rights, contact us using the details in Section 8. We will respond within a reasonable period required by applicable law.
